If you’ve visited with us within the last 4 years, chances are you’ve met our sweet Stephanie… and if you’ve visited with us within the last 9 months, you know that we have been eagerly awaiting our newest addition to The Bride Room family!  It is with a full and happy heart that we introduce to you, the precious Wingate Alexander Arnold {Winn}, born Monday, May 7th..

Both mom and baby are well and enjoying their time at home together… So much love to Stephanie & David as they begin a new chapter in their sweet family… xo

What does this mean???

We are actively selling dresses off the rack on an on-going basis, but a few times a year, we like to highlight some favorites that are eligible to be sold as a sample. Fresh off of April Market, we’re ready to showcase some great gowns again and let you know what’s up for grabs. . .

The posts to follow in the coming days will have info on style, color, size, and condition of gown. A few additional things to remember:

• Though gowns are not brand new, we will not sell a dress off the rack if it’s beyond reasonable cleaning and repair. We make every effort to disclose everything we know about the dress {needs a new zipper; the train needs extensive cleaning, etc}. We don’t want to sell it to you if we don’t want it to walk down the aisle! :)

• Sizes vary. That is, from ready-to-wear to bridal, your size will most likely be different. Also, almost every designer we have runs differently per their size chart. An 8 in Monique Lhuillier is not the same as an 8 in Jim Hjelm Bridal. Please understand your best and safest option is to try on the gown of interest.

• We will happily facilitate Sample Sales via phone, email, etc. . .{see note about sizing}. We will provide photos of our Sample piece, all pertinent info, and help guide you as best we can. We operate from good faith and give you every bit of info we can!

• Since gowns take 4-6 months to order, Samples purchased directly from us are a great option if you are having a shorter engagement. Also, they are a great option for a bride on a budget or if you are a perfect fit in the gown!  We love a great match between a Sample gown and the perfect bride!

 

So check back in the next few days! We have gowns from every designer that we are parting with, and the perfect gown for you just might be available!

 

 

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times. . .Pinterest is pure genius. And you know, for the bride planning her big day, doesn’t it seem absolutely necessary now? What did we ever do before Pinterest??

You know that old saying, that you might forget details about a person, but you’ll never forget how they made you feel? Lauren is one of those people who has the ability to make you just feel good…her sweet spirit, the way she treats all the people around her, her kindness and gratitude, and her simple joie de vivre just makes you grateful that she walked into your life.

It doesn’t hurt that Lauren is stunning, but we were so excited to see these fabulous photos by Tara Sierra Photography! We really do love to see the big day as it has all come together…we know we are just a small part, but we can’t help but to feel connected to you girls! And with a bride {and mother! and maids!} as sweet as Lauren, we were so excited to see her gorgeous wedding after the big day…

Believe it or not, we often hear that choosing bridesmaids dresses is harder than choosing the wedding gown! For a variety of reasons, the big choice of what-will-my-girls-wear can be overwhelming and sometimes downright daunting.  But not to worry. . .we have a few tips on how to eliminate the stress and make your girls feel beautiful. . .

 

• Start early. Most bridesmaids’ collections are on a 10-12 week order time. Plus, once you make the decision of what your gorgeous girls will wear, you need time for them to be measured and place their orders. {Oh yes, your fabulous friends just might put this off and wait til the last second. . .budget time for that last-minute friend. . .you’ll want it!}

• To that end, make sure your girls are professionally measured and order according to the designer’s size chart. Every size chart runs a little differently.

• Do some homework. Websites these days are such great resources for photos and inspiration. Knowing what you don’t want can be just as useful as knowing what you do want. Check out Amsale, Monique Lhuillier, Alfred Sung, and Lela Rose for some really great maids styles. There is truly something for everyone!

• If you have a lot of girls in your wedding party, maybe take just a few when shopping for ideas. Much like looking for your wedding gown, fielding lots of opinions and ideas can become more stressful and less effective when making a decision you truly feel good about.

• Use us as a resource! We have seen a little bit of everything! We have helped the lone bridesmaid find a fabulous little cocktail dress, and we have outfitted parties of 15. We have done multiple styles, multiple colors, and every combination in between. We know and love our designers and can help guide you about which collection, price point, color palette, and overall style will fit your wedding seamlessly. In a word, we are here to help! Mostly, enjoy yourself! This is one element of a very big day, and it should blend into the overall style and feel of your wedding. Don’t fret about pleasing absolutely everyone . . .your girls love you and said yes to being a bridesmaid because they want to bear witness to one of the most significant days of your life. It’s always a bit of culture shock coming back from Bridal Market :) We spend four days on-the-go, taking in all the new collections – gowns! maids dresses! accessories! veiling! – and it at once seems like too much to comprehend and yet just never enough time; we wouldn’t trade a moment of it!

This Spring Market, we saw each of our fabulous designers and their current designs, and suffice it to say, no one disappointed. . .Can’t wait for you to see the gorgeous new goodies when they arrive early Fall! What are your favorites?
