Introducing The Cordelle

Maybe it’s Spring…or maybe all the fun with Nashville Fashion Week, or the upcoming Bridal Market {!!!}, but we are feeling so energized and refreshed lately, and so excited for all things wedding in Nashville right now!

Cue the newest event space on the scene… the gorgeous, impeccably executed space nestled downtown called The Cordelle.

From their website:  Located in downtown Nashville’s historic Rutledge Hill, The Cordelle is a unique event space that combines past and present, bridging history and the making of new moments.  The Cordelle is home to weddings, corporate events, private parties, art shows, music and fashion events, community gatherings and much more.

The location is easily accessible from any part of Nashville and its surrounding areas.  Nestled amidst the downtown landscape, The Cordelle is just minutes from the storied Honky Tonks of Broadway and Nashville’s state of the art Music City Center.

The ladies at The Cordelle were kind enough to take us on a tour of the site {which is still under construction} … and wow, is it beautiful! There is both indoor and outdoor space for configuring the event of your dreams… they are doing an incredible job maintaining the integrity of the historic building while designing a modern and clean aesthetic.

If you are interested at all in their space this year, we encourage you to reach out to them soon…though they are primarily doing weddings this year, the can accommodate events of all types, and they are booking quickly!

Also, find them on Instagram and follow along…it is so wonderful to see their vision and the space come to life!

Ashley | Portraits

It seems sometimes the bride and the dress just find each other. When she puts that one.single.dress on, everything else she has tried on becomes immediately forgettable – and forgotten.

So was the case with Ashley. When she found her Jim Hjelm beauty, we knew she needn’t look any further – this is what she would wear on her wedding day.

These gorgeous images remind us of what we so often look with our girls as they shop: you wear the gown, don’t let the gown wear you . . . and . . .you really do want to look like yourself that day; just the very best version of yourself. We think Ashley did both, and executed her wedding day look flawlessly. What an honor it was to be a part of this beautiful bride’s story.

Crystin + Jon | October 12

October wedding. Family farm in Kentucky. Jimmy Choo. Monique Lhuillier. Amsale. Sweetest family ever.

It was so unbelievably sweet to be a part of this wedding day. When Crystin found her Monique gown, there was a definite aha moment … everyone just knew it was the one. Crystin was easy-going and wonderful …it is so evident to see that she and her mom executed their vision flawlessly. We love the joy that is absolutely palpable between our sweet bride and her groom. It just doesn’t get any better.

Paul Rowland’s images are beyond beautiful … so happy to share some of our favorites here; to see more from this warm celebration, see his blog here. We do hope you enjoy.

Brittany + Andy | June 8

{sigh}

This is one of those weddings that brings us right back to the very reason we love what we do.  What you see is a gorgeous bride, a flawless wedding, a sweet celebration and the prettiest-ever flowers. What we know is that this bride’s beauty is matched – surpassed even – by her kind, kind spirit and inclusiveness of those she loves. We know that from their engagement to walking down the aisle, there were a some unexpected changes, but Brittany was the model of grace and patience and love.

We have this very unique privilege of working with brides and their families in an incredibly tender time in their life. Brittany and her mother were joyful yet calm, visionaries for this gorgeous event yet totally focused on what matters most.

Sharing these pictures is a joy for us because we know the rest of the story; but goodness, we see the raw beauty, too. Brittany’s dad made the doors in the reception, and worked with the couple to make the windows. Brittany’s family hosted at their Brentwood home, making this sweet celebration all the more personal. Details at the reception were handmade, and Brittany and Andy wrote their own vows – which Brittany says now, she’s so glad they did.

Yes, this is a real wedding and these are real photos …can you believe how gorgeous they are? Clark Brewer, we tip our hats to you….it is a privilege to have a bride in common with you!

Brittany also shared her video from Matt G Video. Grab your tissues…it’s beautiful!

Our Favorite New Accessory

It is amazing how one small accessory can change the entire look of your gown… in this case, our gorgeous new lace jacket from Lea-Ann Belter is transforming some of our most favorite gowns. We love how this simple piece is so fresh and feminine. It’s the perfect accessory to wear all night, or slip it off for a second look at  your reception. Isn’t it beautiful?

Fashion Week Favorites

We always, always love New York Fashion Week because it gives us permission to binge on fashion in the  name of research. The collections this week have been impressive, and we are so proud that two of our favorites are from our very own designers.

Monique Lhuillier went overall a little edgier with her pieces, but the soft, modern, lady-like designer we know stayed pretty true to herself and gave us more of what we love. Can she do any wrong? We think not.

Our newest designer in store, the incomparable Jenny Packham, showed a collection that was positively sublime. We loved the mix and match textures and feminine take on some menswear looks, and of course {of. course!} the beaded gowns are everything.

We follow Style.com for Fashion Week shows – and search the #nyfw hashtag on Instagram, too!

PS – our other rec for a really gorgeous, wearable collection with a luxe feel is Ralph Lauren – it felt fresh and new…amazing!

Cheers to a very fashionable weekend!
